Effective Date: August 29, 2026 · Owned and Operated by LIT CEE LLC (Maryland, USA)
This policy explains how LIT CEE LLC ("LIT CEE") handles requests for user data and records from law enforcement and government agencies. LIT CEE respects the privacy of its users and complies with valid legal process, while also notifying users of requests for their information whenever permitted by law.
LIT CEE discloses user data only when compelled by valid legal process issued under applicable law. The type of process required depends on the data sought:
In exigent circumstances involving an imminent threat to life or serious bodily injury, LIT CEE may voluntarily disclose limited user information necessary to address the emergency without a court order, consistent with 18 U.S.C. § 2702(c)(4). Emergency requests must be submitted in writing and must clearly describe the nature of the emergency, the specific information requested, and how disclosure will assist in preventing the harm.
LIT CEE is an online community and seminar platform. Depending on the account, we may retain: account registration information (name, email, date of birth), subscription and payment records, forum posts and community chat messages, direct messages, seminar bookings and chat logs, profile content, and account activity logs. We do not retain data longer than necessary for the operation of the platform; retention periods vary by data type.
To be processed, a request must be submitted on official agency letterhead and include:
Requests that are overly broad, lack particularity, or are not supported by the required legal process will be rejected or narrowed. LIT CEE may seek clarification before responding.
All requests must be submitted in writing. Law enforcement and government agencies may submit requests to the LIT CEE legal team at litceeteam@litcee.com. For verification purposes, requests should be sent from an official government email address. LIT CEE does not accept requests by phone, fax, or through informal channels.
LIT CEE reviews and responds to properly submitted requests as promptly as practicable, typically within 14 business days. Complex requests, or those requiring production of voluminous records, may take longer. Requests that are incomplete or lack required legal process will be returned for correction and will not be considered received until properly submitted.
Unless prohibited by law or by a valid court order, LIT CEE will notify the affected user before producing their data in response to a legal request, so that the user may seek appropriate legal recourse. Where notice is prohibited, LIT CEE may challenge gag orders that lack proper legal basis and will lift such orders when lawfully permitted.
LIT CEE will honor formal requests to preserve records for a defined period (up to 90 days, renewable) pending receipt of valid legal process, consistent with 18 U.S.C. § 2703(f). Preservation requests must be submitted in writing with the account identifiers and the data to be preserved.
Requests from law enforcement agencies outside the United States must be made through a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) or other applicable formal legal process. LIT CEE does not voluntarily disclose user data to foreign agencies absent valid legal process recognized under U.S. law.
LIT CEE may seek reimbursement for the reasonable costs of producing records in response to legal process where permitted by law (see 18 U.S.C. § 2706). LIT CEE does not charge for emergency disclosures made to protect life or safety.
LIT CEE has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation and abuse. We proactively report suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations of such offenses, consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy and applicable law.
We may update this Law Enforcement Request Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
